RN Certified Coding Liaison
Job Summary
To support the Professional Billing Coding department, the full-time RN Certified Coding Liaison will provide education and feedback on documentation guidelines and billing trends to physicians and coding staff, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assists with onboarding new providers and presents educational findings regarding coding and billing trends
- Analyzes provider documentation and billing practices to identify opportunities for revenue capture and compliance improvements
- Conducts annual provider quality reviews to evaluate the appropriateness of services billed based on documentation
Required qualifications
- Two (2) years post-secondary education in the HIM field or three (3) years of external coding/reimbursement experience
- Certification/License Required: RN
- CCS-P, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CDIP, or CCDS certifications
- Approved equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field
