Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time remote Associate Claims Clinical Specialist will review clinical assessments, develop plans of care for long-term care insurance, and engage with claimants and their families to discuss health updates and care needs.
Key responsibilities
- Review clinical assessments to determine chronic illness status and create supporting documentation for plans of care
- Collaborate with field assessors and facility staff to gather additional information on claimants' health statuses
- Conduct telephonic assessments and communicate updates to claimants, family members, and facility staff
Required qualifications
- Current RN license in a Nursing License Compact state with licensure in their residential state
- A minimum of 3 years of professional clinical experience in case management, home care, or rehabilitation, preferably with a geriatric population
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Word
- Ability to manage inbound and outbound calls effectively while discussing care needs
- Robust critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions
