RN Licensed CDI Appeal Consultant

Job Summary

RN Licensed CDI Appeal Consultant, a fully remote position responsible for reviewing patient medical records for appeal writing, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with providers and coders.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records for appeal writing
• Adheres to guidelines set by ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license or graduate of medical school with 5+ years of acute care experience
• 3+ years of clinical appeal experience
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating medical records
• Proficiency in using a PC and Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Cerner experience preferred
