RN Licensed Nursing Tutor

Job Summary

Providing academic support to prelicensure nursing students, the part-time remote RN Licensed Nursing Tutor will facilitate group sessions focused on nursing concepts such as med math, MedSurg, and pharmacology, meeting a minimum of eight hours per month via Zoom.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate group tutoring sessions for Accelerated BSN programs in an online environment
• Provide clarity on difficult nursing concepts and answer course content questions
• Create a supportive online learning environment while maintaining nursing competence based on current trends

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; MSN preferred
• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Two years of experience in tutoring, training, or academic support required
• Two years of recent nursing experience required
• Excellent communication skills with a high degree of professionalism
