Robotics Automation Software Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and developing software systems for robotic warehouse operations, the full-time remote Robotics Automation Software Engineer will manage the orchestration of inventory movement, task execution, and real-time decision-making within automated distribution centers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting warehouse automation operations
- Build highly available microservices and event-driven systems while ensuring effective communication between warehouse systems and robotic fleets
- Monitor and optimize application performance, investigate production incidents, and implement corrective actions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with familiarity in Flutter/Dart desirable
- Experience building distributed systems and APIs (Kafka, MQTT)
- Understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
