Job Summary
Developing and deploying robust robotics software for autonomous agricultural vehicles, the remote Robotics Engineer will design core autonomy systems, integrate software with vehicle hardware, and enhance engineering practices within the Orchard Autonomy Team.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize autonomy systems, including path planning and perception integration
- Integrate software with vehicle hardware, lead system debugging, and validate performance through testing
- Build production-quality ROS-based software architectures for vehicle control and operator interfaces
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ years of experience developing robotics software using C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2
- Strong experience with software testing practices and system validation
- Deep understanding of Linux-based development and version control (Git)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
