ROI Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for processing release of information requests in a timely and accurate manner, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Completes release of information requests by retrieving and scanning medical records accurately
• Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release according to established procedures
• Maintains confidentiality and security of patient information while ensuring compliance with regulations

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type 50 wpm and proficiently use fax, copier, and scanning machines
• Excellent organizational skills and proven customer satisfaction abilities
