ROI Medical Records Specialist
Job Summary
Responsible for processing release of information requests efficiently and accurately, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while delivering excellent customer service in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Completes release of information requests by retrieving and transmitting medical records according to established procedures
- Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Provides exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and proactively resolving client concerns
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED) required
- A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
- Strong computer software experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- Proven customer satisfaction skills and ability to multi-task effectively
