Roof Measurement Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Serving as a critical bridge between industry knowledge and product execution, the full-time Roof Measurement Subject Matter Expert Consultant will define measurement standards, evaluate output quality, and shape process flows for Nearmap's Roof & Exterior Measurements program while working remotely on a contract basis for approximately 6 to 24 months.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal authority on industry-standard roof and exterior measurement definitions and best practices
• Guide REM output design for seamless integration into insurance and estimating platforms, advising on carrier workflows and measurement data impact
• Map and critique end-to-end order flows, identifying efficiency opportunities and contributing to analyst training standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Verisk Xactimate and/or Cotality/Symbility platforms in a professional capacity
• Deep understanding of residential and commercial property insurance claim workflows, particularly in roofing and exterior
• Hands-on experience interpreting or producing roof measurement reports from third-party suppliers
• Familiarity with aerial and oblique imagery used in estimate creation
• Experience working with or for insurance carriers, large TPAs, or restoration contractors at a technical/operational level
