Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the development of large nuclear fluid pumps, the long-term contract Subject Matter Expert in Rotating Machinery will provide oversight for design, testing, and manufacturing while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight for the design, testing, and manufacturing of large nuclear fluid pumps
• Review supplier deliverables and ensure compliance with design codes and standards
• Lead the preparation and coordination of complete design packages, including specifications and engineering documentation

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline and 15+ years of mechanical systems experience
• Experience with large vertical pump design and the full hardware lifecycle
• Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in fluid and structural analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and handle projects with competing objectives
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
