Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the development of large nuclear fluid pumps, the long-term contract Subject Matter Expert in Rotating Machinery will provide oversight throughout design, testing, and manufacturing processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight for the design, testing, and manufacturing of first-of-a-kind large nuclear fluid pumps
• Review supplier deliverables and author specifications necessary for pump design and operation planning
• Lead the preparation and coordination of complete design packages, ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 15+ years of mechanical systems experience
• Experience in large vertical pump design and full hardware lifecycle management
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in fluid and structural analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead design teams with minimal direction
• Experience in high-temperature and multi-discipline integration, particularly in nuclear handling or fluid systems
