Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the development of large nuclear fluid pumps, the contract Subject Matter Expert in Rotating Machinery will provide oversight throughout design, testing, and manufacturing processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight for the design, testing, and manufacturing of large nuclear fluid pumps
• Review supplier deliverables and ensure compliance with design standards and specifications
• Plan and oversee testing programs, including pump qualification and maintenance operations

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with 15+ years of mechanical systems experience
• Experience in the design and manufacture of large vertical pumps
• Familiarity with the full hardware lifecycle from design to implementation
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in fluid and structural analysis
• Ability to coordinate and lead design efforts with minimal supervision
