Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Providing oversight for first-of-a-kind large nuclear fluid pumps, the long-term contract Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert will work remotely to manage design, testing, and manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review supplier deliverables and support pump development by authoring specifications and design inputs
• Plan and oversee testing programs, ensuring proper application of design codes and standards
• Lead the preparation and coordination of complete design packages, including calculations, reports, and drawings

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline with 15+ years of mechanical systems experience
• Experience in large vertical pump design and manufacture, including full hardware lifecycle management
• Knowledge of high temperature and multi-discipline integration, particularly in nuclear handling process systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in fluid and structural analysis and engineering drawing interpretation
• Proven ability to coordinate and lead design efforts with minimal direction
