Rotating Machinery Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the development of large nuclear fluid pumps, the contract Subject Matter Expert in Rotating Machinery will provide oversight through design, testing, and manufacturing while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight for the design, testing, and manufacturing of first-of-a-kind large nuclear fluid pumps
• Review supplier deliverables and author specifications necessary for pump design and operation planning
• Lead the preparation of complete design packages and ensure compliance with applicable design codes and standards

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline with 15+ years of mechanical systems experience
• Experience in large vertical pump design and the full hardware lifecycle
• Knowledge of high temperature and multi-discipline integration, particularly in nuclear handling process systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in fluid and structural analysis
• Proven ability to coordinate and lead design teams with minimal direction
