RPG Developer

Job Summary

Responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing in-house applications using Websmart, RPG, and CL/CLLE on an IBMi platform, the full-time remote RPG Developer III will collaborate with business partners to document requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for existing systems
• Collaborate with users and IT teammates to develop technical specifications for large projects
• Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies for the IT department

Required qualifications

• High school degree preferred with a minimum of five years of RPG programming experience
• Expert knowledge in RPG and CL on the IBMi platform, including binding directories and service programs
• Proficiency in DB2 commands, SQL, and data-centric architecture
• Familiarity with Websmart, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
