Job Summary

Leading the development of subject-specific rubrics and evidence guides for mathematics and science, the full-time Rubric Development Lead will manage the entire rubric lifecycle, facilitate training sessions with subject matter experts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality educational tools in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and refinement of grade-level rubrics and evidence guides, ensuring alignment with content standards and instructional frameworks
  • Facilitate training sessions and working groups with contracted SMEs, guiding mock reviews and documenting consensus for rubric application
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, serving as the primary point of accountability for high-quality delivery of rubrics and evidence guides
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field (PhD preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational consulting
  • Depth of content knowledge in mathematics or science, with familiarity in the other subject area
  • Experience working with state education agencies or large-scale instructional materials review initiatives
  • Proven experience developing instructional materials evaluation tools or educational rubrics
