Job Summary
Leading the development of subject-specific rubrics and evidence guides for reading/language arts and social studies, the full-time Rubric Development Lead will manage the entire lifecycle of rubric creation, facilitate training sessions with subject matter experts, and ensure high-quality deliverables in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and refinement of grade-level rubrics and evidence guides, ensuring alignment with content standards and research-based strategies
- Facilitate training and collaborative drafting sessions with subject matter experts and conduct working group mock reviews to inform rubric revisions
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of all assigned rubrics and evidence guides
Required qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational consulting
- Strong background in literacy content, with familiarity in social studies preferred
- Experience with state education agencies or large-scale instructional materials review initiatives strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse stakeholders
