Ruby on Rails Software Engineer
Job Summary
A company in the information technology industry is looking for a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer III.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implement new features with robust and maintainable code while also maintaining and supporting existing features
- Actively participate in pair programming and code reviews, while contributing to team planning efforts and providing Level 3 support
- Develop support documentation and rotate on-call duties with other team members
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3+ years of professional experience developing a Ruby on Rails application
- Strong network communication troubleshooting ability
- Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, as well as knowledge of RSpec, Cucumber, git or similar VCS, and Linux command line
- Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres), full stack development, and AWS
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to engage directly with customers in a professional and courteous manner
