Rural Health Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a RHC Coding Specialist to provide coding services for various specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for a minimum of 1-4 specialties, including Rural Health Clinic coding
• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes while interpreting coding guidelines
• Maintain compliance with ethical standards and participate in ongoing training and education

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of paid work experience in Rural Health coding
• Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Outlook
• Must have reliable internet connection and current coding materials
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and quality score of 95% or higher
