RWE Scientist Consultant

Job Summary

Hands-on and detail-driven, the full-time RWE Scientist Consultant will design and run observational studies using large healthcare datasets while programming analyses primarily in R, working remotely on a 6-month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute observational studies, including disease burden and treatment patterns, utilizing claims, EHR, and registry data
• Independently write code primarily in R, with SQL/SAS/Python as needed, to perform analyses from cohort-building to final reporting
• Develop study protocols, analysis plans, and feasibility assessments, ensuring data availability prior to study initiation

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, or a related field (PhD, MD, PharmD, MPH, or MSc)
• 8+ years of hands-on observational research experience in pharma, biotech, or HEOR consulting
• Proven ability to independently program and run analyses in claims/EHR/registry data, with R preferred
• Strong understanding of epidemiologic methods and regulatory/HTA evidence expectations for RWE
• Experience in scientific writing and publication, including manuscripts and conference presentations
