SAFE Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

Joining the National Decisioning Support Team, the full-time SAFE Senior Underwriter will conduct comprehensive income and credit reviews for customers with complex financial profiles, collaborating with internal partners and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and analyze various financial documents, including tax returns and financial statements, for complex customer profiles
• Utilize internal tools to calculate income and update loan applications, while documenting the analysis performed
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to discuss credit underwriting analyses and respond to inquiries

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of Underwriting experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Experience in Agency and Government Mortgage Underwriting
• Proficiency in in-depth review and analysis of personal/business tax returns and financial statements
• Ability to meet SAFE registration requirements upon employment
• Experience in a mortgage lending operations/production environment
