Safety Analysis Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Safety Analysis Engineer for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform transient analyses for safety analysis needs of the demonstration reactor
• Collaborate with engineers to establish methods and computational models
• Maintain documentation of model development and perform engineering reviews

Required Qualifications and Skills

• B.S. or higher in nuclear engineering or relevant engineering degree with 3 years of experience in the nuclear field
• Knowledge of nuclear systems fundamentals, including thermal-hydraulic and reactor transient behavior
• Experience with analysis of AOO, DBE, DBA, and BDBE
• Familiarity with engineering computer programs for system transient analysis and radionuclide transport analysis
• Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering teams and understanding of NQA-1 requirements
