Job Summary
Leading safety strategy and compliance efforts, the full-time Safety and Occupational Health Specialist will provide expert guidance, policy interpretation, and oversight for GSA's national safety program while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on occupational safety, hazard control, and regulatory compliance
- Conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments; develop corrective action plans
- Develop and deliver safety policies, guidance, and training programs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field
- Minimum of five years of relevant scientific or technical experience in occupational safety and health
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
- Expert knowledge of OSH concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and codes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for safety compliance
