Job Summary
Leading safety investigations for autonomous vehicle technology, the full-time Safety Investigations Engineer will manage the investigation of safety-related events and incidents, collaborating with various teams to ensure product safety, while working remotely or onsite in Ann Arbor, MI, or Fort Worth, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate investigations of potential safety concerns with key stakeholders
- Conduct thorough, data-driven investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Collaborate with the Safety Data and Analysis Director to develop analytical methods for safety risk management
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 0-3+ years of experience in a relevant field
- Proficient in EDR analysis and ADS compute logic, with ability to mentor and train other engineers
- Experience in regulatory reporting and communication with agencies like NHTSA
- Knowledge of embedded systems software and architecture related to safety analysis
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
