Safety Specialist

Job Summary

To support safety initiatives, the part-time hourly Safety Specialist will maintain tracking systems for facility inspections and safety violations, assist in accident investigations, and implement emergency action plans in Oakdale, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Update and distribute reports on environment, health, and safety metrics and initiatives
• Participate in accident investigations and prepare associated reports
• Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency action plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related discipline and/or 3 years of related experience
• Awareness of food safety, quality, and food manufacturing processes preferred
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and fundamentals
• Excellent skills in WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK
• Ability to interpret technical information in various forms
