Safety Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the development and implementation of safety initiatives, the full-time remote Safety Specialist will assist in identifying and mitigating workplace health and safety hazards while promoting a positive safety culture within the Metro Detroit area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and training to ensure compliance and promote a safe work environment
• Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling to identify workplace health hazards and evaluate exposure levels
• Participate in safety committees, preparing and delivering presentations while supporting communication of safety initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety science or safety engineering required
• No experience required; previous internship in safety operations preferred
• Valid State Issued Driver's License required
