Job Summary

To expand Red Hat's presence in State and Local Government and Education (SLED) accounts, the full-time Sales Account Representative will develop new customer relationships, manage existing accounts, and drive adoption of Red Hat's software portfolio across the Central, Mountain West, and Southeast regions.

Key responsibilities
  • Define and execute territory sales plans targeting SLED customers for Red Hat products and services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and partners to advance the sales cycle and support post-sale activities
  • Perform prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities and manage the sales process for assigned accounts
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of technical sales experience, preferably with SLED clients
  • Experience using and maintaining a CRM system
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in a consultative sales approach with customers and technical staff
