Sales Compensation Governance Principal
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Sales Compensation Governance Principal, the successful candidate will manage the integrity, compliance, and strategic alignment of global incentive compensation programs, serving as the primary owner of the Sales Compensation Plan General Terms and Conditions while collaborating closely with Legal, Finance, and Sales Operations.
Key responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and update the annual Sales Compensation Plan General Terms and Conditions to ensure alignment with global standards
- Lead the Compensation Exception Committee, managing the end-to-end exception governance process and tracking trends for leadership reporting
- Provide policy interpretation and guidance to Sales Leadership and the Compensation team, ensuring accurate application during disputes
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 11 years of experience in incentive compensation design, policy development, legal operations, or contract management
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex governance processes or policy lifecycles in a global enterprise technology company
- Strong ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, and HR
- Excellent legal/technical writing skills with the capability to translate complex business rules into clear language
- Analytical mindset with a track record of identifying trends in exception data and proactively mitigating issues
