Job Summary
As a full-time remote Sales Compensation Governance Principal, the successful candidate will manage the integrity and compliance of global incentive compensation programs, oversee the governance framework for incentive exceptions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies align with strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the Sales Compensation Plan General Terms and Conditions, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional regulations
- Lead the Compensation Exception Committee, managing the governance process and providing reporting on exception trends
- Serve as the subject matter expert for policy interpretation, ensuring accurate application during disputes and complex deal structures
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 11 years of experience in incentive compensation design, policy development, or legal operations
- At least 5 years of experience managing governance processes or exception committees in a global enterprise technology company
- Strong ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal and Finance
- Excellent legal/technical writing skills with the capability to translate complex business rules into clear language
- Analytical mindset with experience identifying trends in exception data and mitigating issues proactively
