Job Summary
Driving advertising revenue in a remote capacity, the full-time Sales Director will manage client and agency relationships, oversee the end-to-end sales process, and identify new ad partners to enhance The Athletic's brand partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Grow brand advertiser sales revenue through client and agency relationships
- Manage a book of business to meet ambitious revenue targets
- Identify and engage new ad partners, guiding them through the sales process
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of digital ad sales experience, including web/app, social media, and podcast sales
- Established agency and client direct relationships available for immediate leverage
- Experience improving sales tools, communication, and processes
- Proven ability to work independently and lead a team
- Strong motivation to meet ambitious sales targets
