Sales Tax Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sales Tax Specialist to oversee and manage tax-related activities across its operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of sales and use tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize positions and minimize liabilities
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate tax strategies with corporate financial goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in tax accounting, including 3 years in a supervisory role
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, particularly in sales, property, and payroll taxes
• Proven experience with Avatax or similar tax compliance and automation tools
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
