SAS Programmer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a SAS Programmer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and maintain SAS programs for data management, statistical analysis, and reporting of real-world healthcare data
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis using SAS from complex longitudinal datasets such as EHRs and medical/pharmacy claims
- Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and data scientists to define data specifications, analysis plans, and output requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience programming in SAS, especially with large healthcare datasets
- Strong understanding of real-world data sources including EHRs and claims databases
- Experience with cohort creation, incidence/prevalence analysis, and longitudinal data modeling
- Experience integrating SAS with SQL databases or cloud-based analytics platforms is preferred
