SBA Business Development Officer

Job Summary

To support a growing SBA lending platform, the full-time remote SBA Business Development Officer will originate SBA 7(a) loans up to $350,000 by developing referral partnerships and cultivating relationships within targeted industries such as healthcare and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Source, structure, and close SBA 7(a) loans while managing a robust pipeline through direct prospecting and referral partners
• Develop and strengthen relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) to generate qualified SBA lending opportunities
• Conduct financial analysis and collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure efficient loan approvals while maintaining high credit quality

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SBA lending, commercial banking, or small business lending
• Proven track record of originating SBA 7(a) loans and exceeding production goals
• Established network of Centers of Influence (COIs) in relevant industries
• Thorough understanding of SBA lending programs, credit analysis, and loan structuring
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
