SBA Business Development Officer
Job Summary
To expand a growing SBA lending platform, the full-time remote SBA Business Development Officer will originate SBA 7(a) loans up to $350,000 by developing referral partnerships and cultivating relationships within targeted industries, while leveraging an established professional network.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, structure, and close SBA 7(a) loans for small business owners while maintaining strong conversion ratios
- Develop and strengthen relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) to generate qualified SBA lending opportunities
- Conduct preliminary financial analyses and collaborate with underwriting to ensure efficient loan approvals
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SBA lending, commercial banking, or small business lending
- Demonstrated success in originating SBA 7(a) loans and exceeding production goals
- Established network of Centers of Influence (COIs) that generate referral opportunities
- Strong industry relationships and experience within healthcare, food & beverage, trade, and manufacturing sectors
- Thorough understanding of SBA lending programs, credit analysis, and loan structuring
