SBA Lending Business Development Officer

Job Summary

Driving new SBA lending opportunities, the full-time remote VP, Business Development Officer will originate and fund SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans through self-sourced business development efforts, while building strong client and referral relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and foster new referral and client relationships while independently sourcing loan transactions
• Assist in pre-screening, qualifying, and structuring loan opportunities, and maintain communication regarding transaction status
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Closing teams to determine transaction structure and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a commercial lending environment
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; preference for finance or accounting degree
• Established local or national market presence with a strong sphere of influence
• Experienced in originating SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loan products
• Familiarity with Small Business Administration Standard Operating Procedures and eligibility requirements
