SBA Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an SBA Underwriter - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite SBA guaranteed loan products ensuring compliance with regulations and bank policies
• Compile data for credit packages and prepare analyses, summaries, and recommendations for loan approvals
• Evaluate loan applications and identify risks while collaborating with Relationship Managers on complex loan structuring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 1+ year of relevant underwriting experience
• Basic knowledge of commercial and small business credit underwriting and related analysis
• Understanding of commercial lending policies, banking laws, and regulations
• Ability to analyze financial statements, business plans, and credit reports
• Good judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to handle confidential information
