SBA Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter, SBA.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite SBA 7(a) small business loans, ensuring compliance with SBA SOP requirements and credit standards
• Review and verify loan documentation for SBA compliance and perform due diligence and fraud prevention reviews
• Manage underwriting pipeline, communicate loan status with internal partners, and participate in special projects and audits

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting experience, specifically with SBA 7(a) small loans
• Demonstrated knowledge of SBA SOPs and eligibility requirements
• Experience in a bank, credit union, CDFI, or SBA lending environment
• Proficiency in reviewing financial documents, including tax returns and credit reports
• Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and debt service coverage ratios (DSCR)
