SBA Underwriter
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the remote SBA Underwriter will underwrite SBA guaranteed loan products, compile credit package data, and evaluate loan applications while ensuring compliance with SBA regulations and bank policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Underwrite SBA guaranteed loan products, ensuring adherence to regulations and bank policies
- Compile and analyze data for credit packages, including financial statements and collateral valuations
- Evaluate loan applications and provide recommendations, potentially presenting findings to Credit Approvers
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience in commercial, commercial real estate credit, or small business underwriting
- Basic knowledge of lending practices and underwriting concepts
- Ability to analyze financial statements and assess creditworthiness
- Familiarity with commercial and small business lending policies and banking regulations
