Job Summary

Working remotely from the USA, the full-time Scala Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain sophisticated server-side applications, focusing on creating robust APIs and ensuring efficient data processing for mission-critical government projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable APIs and complex business logic using Scala and Java
• Support distributed systems, version control with Git, and build tools like Maven while ensuring data integrity and security
• Engage in requirements analysis, system architecture design, and performance optimization of backend services

Required qualifications

• Technical training, certification(s), or degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of hands-on Java software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Scala programming development expertise
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like OpenShift
