Scala Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scala Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on immutable, distributed systems, data streaming, and backend Scala based systems using functional programming
• Collaborate within Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
• Produce quality, readable, and well-tested code to deliver innovative solutions

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional application development experience
• 3+ years of experience with functional programming languages like Scala, Clojure, or Haskell
• 2+ years of experience with AWS including DynamoDB
• 4+ years of experience developing applications using functional Scala (nice-to-have)
• Experience with ZIO Framework, fintech/banking, open-source web services, performance tuning, and monitoring (nice-to-have)
