Job Summary
To provide comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Scheduler, Connecticut Licensed, will critically evaluate scheduling requests and utilize the EPIC scheduling system while working remotely within Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls to assess urgency and directs callers appropriately, providing assistance as needed
- Builds and modifies provider master schedules and clinic calendars, accommodating time off and scheduling conflicts
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and manages changes or cancellations while ensuring accurate patient information is maintained
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, with two years in the same job family at the next lower level, or an Associate degree with two years of related work experience
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare-related call center or medical practice
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy phone volume and manage patient interactions effectively
- Proficient in English language, grammar, and medical terminology
