Job Summary
To provide comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Scheduler, Connecticut Licensed, will manage appointment scheduling using the EPIC system, ensuring prompt and courteous service while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls to assess urgency and directs callers appropriately while providing specialized information related to policies and services
- Builds and modifies provider master schedules, resolves scheduling conflicts, and coordinates patient appointments and surgical procedures
- Utilizes computer systems to input and retrieve data, generate reports, and maintain patient statistical data
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy phone volume and manage patient interactions effectively
- Proficiency in English language, grammar, and medical terminology
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Proven record of exemplary attendance and reliability
