Job Summary
To provide comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Scheduler, Connecticut Licensed, will evaluate scheduling requests, manage patient appointments, and ensure excellent service while working remotely within Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers calls to assess urgency and provides assistance or directs callers to the appropriate resources
- Builds and modifies provider master schedules and clinic calendars, accommodating time off and emergencies
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and notifies patients of changes or cancellations
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years at a lower level, or two years of experience with an Associate degree
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Competency in English language, grammar, and medical terminology
- Experience using an electronic medical record system and multi-line telephones
