Job Summary
To support patient scheduling and authorization needs, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verification, coordinate complex exam scheduling, and handle clerical tasks to ensure seamless patient experiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Thoroughly complete insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Schedule complex exams while managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls, ensuring excellent customer service
- Monitor and manage communication channels, including email and voicemail, to facilitate scheduling and patient inquiries
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
