Job Summary

To support patient scheduling and authorization needs, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verification, coordinate complex exam scheduling, and handle clerical tasks to ensure seamless patient experiences.

Key responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly complete insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
  • Schedule complex exams while managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Monitor and manage communication channels, including email and voicemail, to facilitate scheduling and patient inquiries
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
  • Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
  • Experience in an office or hospital environment is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
