Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage patient communications, coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, and ensure insurance authorizations are obtained prior to services.

Key responsibilities
  • Completing insurance verification and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
  • Scheduling complex exams while managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
  • Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and fax, for assigned practices
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing preferred
  • Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
  • Experience in an office or hospital environment preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
