Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verifications, schedule complex diagnostic imaging exams, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers during standard business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM PST, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Thoroughly complete insurance verification and authorization processes for scheduled patients
- Schedule complex exams while managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitor and manage communication channels, including email and fax, to ensure timely responses and documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment, with a preference for high-volume call center experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
