Job Summary
To support patient scheduling and authorization processes, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verification, coordinate diagnostic imaging appointments, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals during a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM PST.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and authorization processes for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitoring and responding to communications from patients and healthcare providers, ensuring timely processing of requests
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in a high-volume call center or office/hospital environment is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
