Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage patient communications, coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, and ensure accurate insurance verification while working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM PST.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Schedule complex exams and manage high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitor and manage communications through email and fax, ensuring timely responses and documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in a high-volume call center or healthcare environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
