Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage patient scheduling for diagnostic imaging and procedures while ensuring accurate insurance verification and authorization processes.
Key responsibilities
- Completing insurance verification and authorization processes for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitoring and managing communication channels, including email and fax, for assigned practices
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment, with high volume call center experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
