Job Summary
To ensure seamless patient care, the full-time remote Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator will manage insurance verification, coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, and provide exceptional customer service while communicating with patients and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Completing the insurance verification process and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled patients
- Scheduling complex exams and managing high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on exam preparation
- Monitoring and managing communications, including emails and voicemails, while documenting patient schedules in the appropriate systems
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling or healthcare billing is preferred
- Over one year of experience in a customer service or client relations role
- Experience in an office or hospital environment is preferred, with high volume call center experience being a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with HCA/Parallon IT systems is preferred
